These movies are animations of earthquake “catalogs”, or lists of earthquakes in time and space. We are mainly using the “CMT” (Centroid Moment Tensor) catalog.  These movies are part of our Seismodome show.

We generate the sounds using python and librosa, and the movies using Processing. The sound generating programs were made by Ben Holtzman, Nolan Lem and Jason Candler. The animations were made by Douglas Repetto and Ben Holtzman.
